    Description

The MOST Amazing Card! UNUSED!  Circa 1890 - 1900 Greeting Card for New Year's.  Beautifully decorated with color chromo-lithographed florals.  This card has embossed decorations and is a tri-fold die cut card. The stems and backgrounds of the flowers look hand painted and are a shiny light blue. Each flower center has a shiny gold metallic center. The lettering and borders on the front are embossed bright gold. Card has a serrated edge all around.  Titled "A Fair New Year". Opens to a greeting: "As on you go, your heart but beat the lighter From care and sadness free, And may this happy day to you seem brighter for a "God Speed" from me.  H. M. Burnside".  No publisher identified. The amazing quality and attention to detail remind me of a Raphael Tuck creation.
    Size:  3 1/2" x 5 7/8".  Opened measures 8 1/4" x 5 7/8".
Condition:  Superb! Like New!  Other than the light age-toning to the paper and a tiny foxing spot on the back lower left, no flaws can be found.  No writing, no rips or tears.  Sharp edges and bright colors.
